The Southern Illinois Fire Relief Fund would like
to thank all individuals, organizations and businesses who have helped
us to make SIFRF successful.
We started assisting families and individuals on December
1, 2003. We are fast approaching 500 plus families or individuals
that
we have been able to assist.
SIFRF works closely with the local fire chiefs, and the
local Red Cross to provide immediate assistance to our southern
Illinois neighbors in one of their greatest times of need.
SIFRF is an all volunteer organization, with no paid
employees, we all work and respond from our homes, we have no
rental or upkeep on office space. We do all the work
ourselves. SIFRF
covers the southern 17 counties of Illinois along with the Salem and
Orchardville districts, so all your donations are used to help southern
Illinois neighbors.
SIFRF is a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) organization, meaning that any
donation is tax deductible.
During the year SIFRF holds several fund-raising
events. We receive no state or federal funding, and are solely
funded by private donations and money raised at the fund-raisers we
hold. We are truly an organization where neighbors are helping
neighbors.
