SIFRF shut gun raffle on July 4th was won by Steve Moore from Oxford
OH. Steve acknowledged wining the gun but returned the price of
the gun to the SIFRF for fire assistance.

6th Annual Charity Charity Bowl was a huge success again this year
thanks to all who participated, provided items for the raffles, and
were lane and corporate sponsors.

a fireman form Carbondale Fire Department.

made to SIFRF from the road block held August 23, 2008.

Apple Festival Sept 12-16 with RAFFLES AND INFORMATION. The hog raffled
off at the Apple Festival was won by Dave Foreman.

10, 2006 SIFRF will be having the drawing for the winner of the shotgun
raffle, at the Carbondale Firemen's Christmas Dinner at the Carbondale
Eagles. The winner will be notified by phone. This will
make an excellent Christmas present. So buy plenty of

Fundraising Events
October
:
SIFRF
along with the Pinckneyville Firemen's Association held a Poker
Run. This was Fire Run 2006.
The run was held October 1,
2006 The run will started at the Pinckneyville Fire Dept.; 110 S.
Walnut Street.
Registration began at 10:00 a.m. and the first
bike out was at 11:00 a.m..
Price was $20.00 for vehicle and
driver this included 1 hand - Passenger $5.00 included 1 hand - $5.00
each for extra hands purchased.
Entry fee included meal at the
end of the ride.
Best Hand paid $300.00
Thanks to the Pinckneyville Firemen's Association and all who
participated.
September:
At
the end of September SIFRF held a large indoor YARD SALE at the old
Rent One building nin Murphysboro.
Thanks to everyone who donated
and to everyone who stopped by and bought items this was a successful
event.
August:
Starting
in August and running until the December 10th, 2006 SIFRF will once
again be raffling off the shotgun donated by Mr. Berger.
The Gun
has been upgraded to a Combo pack.
It is now a Remington 870
Express Combo with 26 inch barrel with Rem Chokes and a 20 inch fully
rifled slug barrel.

will be held at the Carbondale Firemen's Christmas Dinner held at the
Carbondale Eagles.

Southern Illinois Fire Relief Fund will be giving away a Remington 870
Shotgun at the 4th of July Parade at Goreville, Il..
The
drawing was held at 1:00 p.m. by the 2 ladies that were judging the
parade.
Thanks to these ladies for their assistance.
The winner of the 870 Remington was
Darren Berger of Carbondale, Il..
SIFRF was able to raise more than $1,000.00 with this fund
raiser.

Thanks
to Mr. Berger who donated the shotgun back to SIFRF to raffle off
again.
This will be an exceptional fund raising event.
June 23, 24, 25, 2006
Southern
Illinois Fire Relief Fund will have an informational booth set up at De
Soto Daze for any questions you might have about SIFRF.
This will
be the last event before the drawing for the shotgun on July 4,
2006. Stop by and pick up some tickets.

Southern
Illinois Fire Relief Fund will have an informational booth set up at
the Ava Homecoming at the Ava City Park.
Stop by and visit and
learn more about SIFRF and how we work and how you can help your
southern Illinois neighbors.
SIFRF will be raffling off a
porcelain doll donated by Bernie Clover. We will also be selling
tickets on the shotgun.
May 7, 2006
The
Carbondale Eagles sponsored the 1st of an annual Poker Run for
SIFRF.
Several individuals from the Eagles and other Eagles along
the route were very instrumental in making this a very successful
event.
The first run was able to make $1,957.50 to aid fire
victims.
April 1, 2006
We
held our annual auction at the Illinois Centre Mall in Marion,
Il.
With the help of all the area individuals and business that
donated items and all of the trips,
tickets and celebrity memorabilia,
and especially with the help of Joe Ollis Auction Service we were able
to raise
$4,750.00.
January
21, 2006
the 3rd Annual Charity Bowl was held at S. I. Bowl
With the help of S.I. Bowl and Vicky Hunsaker we were able to raise
2,500.00 to assist local f ire victims.
